Paola di Nicola is a full professor of sociologu of culture and communication at the Department of Human Science. She has carried out numerous theoretical and empirical research on changes in family models, both at the macro level (changes from a demographic and socio-economic point of view), and at the micro level: changes in relationships between couples, between generations and in forms of parenting. The analysis of the family has been developed in light of the impact that welfare policies have on the family resashionship and on the most significant changes in support networks, both informal and informal.
Paola Di Nicola has developed a relevant theoretical and empirical research path on the topic of the genesis of the network paradigm and on the morphogenesis of personal networks in the global society.
