Syllabus

Basic knowledge relating to the following macro-topics:
1 - radiological and functional anatomy of the brain
2 - radiological and functional anatomy of the spine and spinal cord
3 - congenital and developmental anomalies
4 - tumours in neuropediatrics
5 - neurovascular pathology: acute and chronic
6 - neurointerventional medicine
7 - neurotrauma
8 - benign and malignant tumours of the brain, skull, skull base, extracranial region, spine and spinal cord and peripheral nervous system
9 - metabolic, infectious, inflammatory, toxic and degenerative diseases involving the brain
10 - hydrocephalus
11 - pathology of the spine and spinal cord
12 - epilepsy
13 - neuromuscular diseases-myopathies
14 - advanced CT and MRI techniques (CT and MRI perfusion, diffusion, functional MRI and spectroscopy and emergent sequences and contrast agents in MRI), principles of data analysis and interpretation.
