Overview
People with chronic illnesses have ever-increasing social and healthcare needs and require overall clinical assistance from various angles. In order to ensure total, continuous care for the ill and their family, healthcare professionals need to build a network integrating healthcare and social welfare providers in the region. Provincial strategic planning is implementing a new structure of "networks" for hospital and regional services primarily focused on acute hospital care and a regional care network concerned with looking after frail people with complex social welfare and healthcare requirements. This Masters course will enable students to deepen their knowledge, gain clinical care skills and advanced organisational and managerial skills regarding primary and palliative care for people affected by chronic disease.
