Giuseppe Malleo, M.D., Ph.D is an Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Verona. His practice at the University of Verona Hospital Trust encompasses sugical oncology with special interest in pancreatic cancer, periampullary cancers, pancreatic cysts and neuroendocrine tumors. He has performed more than 700 pancreatic resections. Clinical and translational research activities are focused on pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma and risk-assessment/benchmarking in pancreatic surgery. Prof. Malleo is author of more than 300 full-text papers in peer-reviewed journals, with an impact factor >1400 (JCR 2021) and a H-index of 62 (Google Scholar). He served as the secretary of the Italian Association of Pancreatology (2019-2022) and is currently the deputy chair of the Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association (EAHPBA) scientific committee. Futhermore, he has been member of the Verona Ethical Committee since 2006.
