Il Prof. Stefano Francesco Crinò si è laureato presso l'Università di Messina, specializzato in Gastroenterologia ed Endoscopia Digestiva presso l'Università di Messina, ed ha conseguito un Dottorato di Ricerca presso l'Università di Verona.

L'attività di ricerca verte principalmente nel campo delle malattie infiammatorie e neoplastiche del pancreas, con particolare riguardo alle tecniche endoscopiche bilio-pancreatiche diagnostiche e terapeutiche. E' autore/co-autore di oltre 200 articoli scientifici pubblicati su riviste internazionali ed ha partecipato alla stesura di diverse linee guida nazionali ed internazionali.
