Laura Calderan is a graduate of pharmaceutical chemistry and technology at the University of Padua. She obtained the title of Ph.D. at the laboratory of experimental magnetic resonance imaging of the University of Verona and carried out research as Senior Scientist at the research center Glaxo Smith Kline. She is an assistant professor by 2006 at the University of Verona.
Research fields: In vivo oncological experimental models (characterization of in vivo staging of the pathology and pharmacological approaches with a diagnostic and /or therapeutic scope); in vivo experimental models of biocompatibility assessment of compounds for diagnostic and/or therapeutic use; dynamic organ culture systems; in vivo, ex vivo and in vitro multimodal imaging.
Scientific Skills:
Nanotechnologies applied to the biomedical field (in vivo biodistribution, temporal kineticsfor evaluation of tissue accumulation and damage)
Oncology (glioblastoma and coloncarcinoma models)
Neuroscience (experimental models of substance addiction, cerebral plasticity)
