Curriculum

Degree in Medicine and Surgery, Specialist in Pathology, PhD in Inflammation, Immunity, and Cancer.

Research Scholar at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis (2014) and Research Fellow at the Sol Goldman Pancreatic Cancer Research Center at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore (2014-2015).

Author of over 350 publications and scientific contributions, primarily focused on the study of surgical and molecular pathology of pancreatic and biliary tract cancers.

Co-author of the WHO guidelines on pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, intraductal pancreatic neoplasms, hereditary pancreatic cancers, and the Peutz-Jeghers and PALB2-related genetic tumor syndromes.

Co-author of the European Society of Medical Oncology recommendations on Microsatellite Instability in Cancer.

Chair of the Education Committee of the Pancreato-Biliary Pathology Society (PBPS-USCAP).

Associate Editor of Virchows Archive (official journal of the European Society of Pathology), BMC Gastroenterology and Endocrine Oncology, and member of the Editorial Board of Human Pathology, World Journal of Gastrointestinal Oncology, and Pathology: Research and Practice.
