Research focus: largely focused in neoplastic pathology, with particular attention to gastrointestinal and pancreatic neoplasms. I collaborated in scientific studies with the pancreatic research team at University of Verona, pioneering the study of molecular anomalies associated with diverse pancreatic types. With my studies contributed in the classification of pancreatic cystic neoplasms, the so called "PEComa-Clear cell sugar tumor" and “Acinar cystadenoma" of the pancreas and the definition of inflammatory conditions of the pancreas such as autoimmune pancreatitis and paraduodenal pancreatitis.
