Learning outcomes

To know the mechanisms of X-radiation interaction and the principles of rabiobiology at the base of radiotherapy
Know and know how to report the individual processes of the radiotherapy process
Know in depth the radiotherapy SETUP phase and virtual simulation
Know in detail the operation of a LINAC for radiotherapy and the main differences between the various models (in particular with Tomotherapy)
Know and be able to describe the main RT techniques (3DCRT, IMRT, VMAT)
Know and be able to describe the major special techniques (IORT, TBI, Gammaknife, Stereotaxis, Proton therapy ....)
Know the major technological innovations
Describe the process of an oncological patient type: brain, ORL, Breast cancer ...
