Learning outcomes

Knowledge of pre-analytical and post-analytical phases of laboratory tests.
Knowledge of laboratory test pathophysiological mechanisms and interpretation relating to the following topics:
Anemias, Glucose metabolism and diabetes, Monitoring of pregnancy, Molecular biology applications and outline their main genetic diseases.

Syllabus

Pre- and post-analytical phase.
Errors in pre- and post-analytical phase.
Correct execution of the venous sampling and use of the devices.
Anemias.
Diabetes mellitus and metabolic syndrome.
Application of molecular biology exams in clinical settings.
