Programme
This Course aims to give an overview on problems related to the use of off-label drugs, prescribed outside the terms indicated in the product license as regards indication, dosage, route of administration. This kind of use of medicines, allowed for example when there is no other therapeutic option under the direct responsability of the clinician, is a common practice regarding in particular pediatric population (the most of medicines administered to children are authorized to the use only in the adult, due to the lack of clinical studies), but also adult patients in some settings of medicine such as oncology, neurology and psychiatry, obstetrics and pain management. The topics will be carried out partly as lectures and partly in an interactive manner, by dividing students in small groups and discussing some clinical cases.
