This Masters class intends to favour the acquisition of the following abilities: • understanding the various organisational contexts with particular reference to out-of-hospital settings, by way of identifying complex factors as well as basic elements of functionality in accordance with a variety of organisational theories; • developing the ability to plan, manage and assess the performance of various professional roles with the aim of improving the quality of interventions and satisfying the needs of the client; • preparing and applying management models according to the characteristics of “open organisations”; • using means and methods of research that take into account available evidence in the field of organising and managing healthcare and social services; • identifying, planning, assessing and improving the processes of healthcare intervention in a highly innovative context by way of multidisciplinary integration as well as the integration of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings; • planning and managing the processes of assessment and improving the quality of execution with the aim of guaranteeing interventions that adopt the latest in scientific and technical know-how; • developing the capacity to respond to the needs of the client by programming options (in-hospital, out-of-hospital, home hospitalisation) that provide innovative solutions which allow for an efficient use of resources as well as guarantee quality healthcare assistance and the protection of the health of citizens; • managing a system for the development of human resources that promotes a spirit of wellbeing in the workplace by way of giving importance to individual attitudes and competencies, to a multidisciplinary approach, to interdisciplinary collaboration and to a shared sense of responsibility; • managing a training and educational system that also includes self-study programs, in support of change so as to identify and satisfy educational needs; • managing programs for the planning, realization and assessment of educational initiatives promoting health awareness in the community; • planning and checking systems of communication and information technology within specific fields of professional competence; • managing financial, structural and technological resources in collaboration with those in charge.
