Overview

The Master in "Evaluative Epidemiology" aims to train and provide in service training for personnel in the health service system ( doctors, pharmacists, vets, health managers, nursing and assistance coordinators, administrative managers) and for researchers in the pharmaceutical industry and/ or in public and private research bodies, in the fields of general and evaluative epidemiology. The Master concentrates on the methodological aspects of: clinical and epidemiological research; identifying risk factors and causes of disease both of an infective and a chronically degenrative type; control and monitoring of the populations's health; needs analyses, of both supply and demand; analysis of the implementation of socio-health strategies; The planning and organization of assistance work; improvement procedures for a coninuous monitoring of quality. At the end of the study course the health operator will have developed the necessary skills to be able to produce and interpret scientific, experimental or observational evidence, which are required for assessing the efficiency, effectiveness and quality of the work and of the health services.
