Learning outcomes

To acquire knowledge and understanding, also thorough field examples, about: - general principles of occupational medicine and health and safety in workplaces - principal epidemiological features on occupational injuries and work- related diseases and disorders with particular reference to respiratory diseases - legislation on health and safety at work - primary, secondary, tertiary prevention and workplace health promotion.

Syllabus

General principles of occupational medicine and health and safety prevention and promotion in workplaces. Occupational hazards and risks. Work related diseases and disorders. Occupational injuries. Legislation on health and safety at work. Risk assessment. Health surveillance. Occupational health clinic: occupational history collection, etiological diagnosis, medico-legal obligations. Occupational respiratory diseases.
