The Faculty of Medicine and Surgery has teaching and research functions and guarantees the full integration of training, research and assistance activities carried out by its teachers in collaboration with the National and Regional Health Service. Starting from the academic year 2012/13 the School inherited the functions carried out by the Faculty of Medicine until the entry into force of Law no. 240/2010 which reorganized the university system. The School offers students training courses in the area of health professions, training doctors, specialists, health professionals and researchers who deal with human health and well-being. The educational offer has different levels that include: degree courses (3 years), master's degree courses (2 years), single-cycle master's degree courses (6 years), specialization schools and lifelong learning courses. The School's courses of study are with scheduled access; the number of students accessing the courses is established by the MIUR according to the forecasts of employment needs of the NHS. The following five Departments belong to the School: Department of Surgical, Odontostomatological and Maternal and Child Sciences, Department of Medicine, Department of Diagnostics and Public Health, Department of Neuroscience, Biomedicine and Movement, Department of Engineering for Innovation medicine

Il Presidente promuove e coordina le attività didattiche, di valutazione e di assicurazione della qualità della Facoltà. Convoca e presiede il Consiglio della Facoltà e ne rende esecutive le deliberazioni. Cura i rapporti con i Presidenti dei Collegi didattici e con i Direttori dei Dipartimenti interessati e favorisce i rapporti di collaborazione con la Commissione Paritetica docenti-studenti.

Il Presidente vicario coadiuva in tutte le attività il Presidente e lo supplisce in tutte le sue funzioni in caso di assenza o temporaneo impedimento.

Joint Faculty-Student Committee i

The Joint Faculty-Student Committee is established by the Council of the School of Medicine and Surgery and is composed of faculty members and students appointed by the Council from among its members. It serves as a permanent observatory with advisory, monitoring, oversight, and supervisory functions regarding educational activities. The Committee is chaired by a Chairperson, who is responsible for convening and coordinating its work. In particular, the Joint Committee performs the following functions: a) supervising and monitoring the educational offer and the quality of teaching; b) supervising and monitoring student support services provided by professors and researchers; c) defining the criteria for evaluating the results of the activities referred to in points a) and b); d) expressing opinions on the establishment and discontinuation of degree programmes. The Joint Committee prepares an annual report on the results of the monitoring, supervisory, and evaluation activities it has carried out and ensures that this report is submitted to the Faculty Council and to the University Evaluation Unit. Teaching Committee
il Collegio Didattico organizza e gestisce le attività didattiche di ogni Corso di Laurea e Corso di Laurea Magistrale presso le sedi di Verona e Vicenza. Il Collegio Didattico è convocato e presieduto dal Presidente che è responsabile di ogni processo relativo all’assicurazione della qualità. In particolare:
  • predispone, coadiuvato dal Gruppo AQ del CdS, il commento alla scheda di monitoraggio annuale (SMA) e ne cura la condivisione e la discussione;
  • predispone, coadiuvato dal Gruppo AQ del CdS, il rapporto di riesame ciclico – curando l’analisi della situazione osservata, dello stato di avanzamento delle azioni di miglioramento e delle nuove azioni correttive e migliorative – promuovendone la condivisione e la discussione;
  • aggiorna periodicamente, sotto la sua responsabilità, le informazioni pubbliche della Scheda Unica Annuale del CdS (SUA-CdS), garantendone la correttezza.
Presso la Scuola di Economia e Management sono attivi dieci Collegi Didattici, uno per ogni Corso di Studio.
