Degree in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Ferrara (1991), Specialization in Psychiatry at the same university (1996), PhD in Psychological and Psychiatric Sciences at the University of Verona (2001), currently Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Verona. From December 2002 to October 2018 he had been working as consultant psychiatrist at the Section of Psychiatry, Academic Hospital of Verona (Azienda Ospedaliera Universitaria Integrata di Verona), where he currently exerts his clinical activity as an Associate Professor. His research activity has been conducted for the last twenty years in the context of the Research Unit “Environmental Clinical and Genetic Determinants of the Outcome of Mental Disorders”, functionally connected with WHO Collaborating Centre for Research and Training in Mental Health and Service Evaluation, Section of Psychiatry, University of Verona. His research interests include outcome evaluation of severe mental disorders in routine clinical settings, early intervention in psychosis, recovery-oriented psychosocial rehabilitation, mental health stigma and discrimination, advocacy and human rights for persons with mental disorders, psychiatric legislation.
