Curriculum

Professor Carlo Visco has been a consultant at the Department of Hematology and Cell Therapy, San Bortolo Hospital, Vicenza, Italy, since 2003. He graduated in 1998 at the University of Verona, Italy, where he completed residency training in Hematology in 2002.

He has been post-doctoral research fellow at the Lymphoma and Myeloma Department at the University of Texas, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, USA in 2000-2001. In 2010 he was honorable visiting physician at the Department of Pathology, University of Wisconsin School of Medicine, Madison, WI, USA, where he contributed to the formation of the International Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma Consortium Program Study, of whom he is an active and influential member. In 2013 he was awarded by the “Fondazione Calabresi” as young investigator publishing the best high impact clinical paper of 2013.

He is currently taking part to the conception, design and conduction of clinical trials, especially in mantle cell lymphoma and diffuse large B-cell lymphoma on a national and international basis. Dr Visco is an active member of the European society of hematology (EHA), of the European Mantle Cell Lymphoma Network and of the Italian Lymphoma Foundation (FIL). He is associate professor  at University of Verona, and he is steadily involved in education and training as witnessed by his academic publications.
