Learning outcomes

The educational objectives at the end of the teaching for all students are:
- Principles of healthy eating
- Principles of good sleep hygiene and the physiological effects of sleep
- Principles of healthy mobility and exercise Early mobilisation and outcomes
- Elements of body ergonomics and risk prevention from manual handling of loads
- Vital signs
- Alterations in thermoregulation
- Prevention and treatment of pressure injuries

Syllabus

Objectives and teaching programme 2019/2020

Principles of good sleep hygiene and the physiological effects of sleep
Rest-sleep: assessment of rest-sleep, environmental factors and main disorders (restless legs, sleep apnea)
educational and preventive interventions

Vital signs: blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate, pulse oximetry and body temperature. Measurement modes, normal values and definition of alterations.
Indicators to define monitoring times for vital signs in personal care.
Alterations of thermoregulation: hyperpyrexia, hyperthermia hypothermia and identify nursing interventions to the person with fever.

Principles of healthy mobility and exercise Early mobilization and outcomes
Mobility disorders: intolerance and motor deficits, Activity intolerance: assessment and care interventions
Mobility deficits: assessment, degrees of and causes of deficits Rehabilitation and support interventions for the person with mobility deficits.
The use of aids and aids to promote the autonomy of the person with mobility deficits.

Nutritional assessment: eating habits, anthropometric data, laboratory tests, capacity for action Nutritional alterations: obesity, overweight and malnutrition
Educational, rehabilitative and environmental interventions to the person with nutritional problems with particular attention to the use of aids. Assisting a person during the meal.
