Evalutation, diagnosis, prognosis in Emergency Medicine of patients presenting with:
- Chest pain - sistematic ECG interpretation
- Pulmonary Embolism
- Acute Pulmonary Edema
- Metabolic Coma
- Common intoxication
At the end of the course, students must know causes and differential diagnosis, specific needs of the patient and monitoring techiniques, along with possible unexpected events in patients presenting to the Emergency Room.

- Pathophysiology of acute right ventricular failure
- Diagnostic Algorhythm (Geneva score)
- Risk stratification/prognosis (PESI score)
Treatment: physiology of coagulation, anticoagulant drugs
Lecture 3
Acute Pulmonay Edema:
- Pathophysiology of acute left ventricular failure
- Clinical diagnosis and use of ultrasound (E-FAST)
- Medical treatment
- CPAP
