The specific goal of the training in Periodontology is to provide the student, based on scientific knowledge
acquired, the tools necessary to approach the patient with periodontal compromise.
At the end of the traineeship, the student must be able to formulate a diagnosis and discuss a possible initial treatment plan for the periodontal patient. Learning and starting the basic periodontal surgical techniques execution.
Periodontal examination: first visit, periodontal chart and radiographic status
Tools for the quantification of the risk of onset and progression of periodontal disease
The re-evaluation of the periodontal patient
Formulation of the treatment plan
Formulation of a personalized support therapy for different patients
