Syllabus

The course aims to provide the residents with in-depth knowledge and understanding of the following basic topics in order to address the issues of prevention, protection and promotion and management of health and safety in the workplace.
The residents will acquire, also through examples taken from the field, practical exercises and time dedicated to deepening personal knowledge and understanding of the basics on
- basic principles of evidence-based prevention
- guide to critical reading of scientific literature
- tools for writing a scientific report: the example of the strobe checklist
- literature reviews: narrative reviews and systematic reviews
- guidelines
- elements of occupational toxicology: toxicokinetics and toxicodynamics
- biological monitoring: biological indicators, reference and limit values, advantages and limitations of biological monitoring, principles for organising a biological monitoring campaign.
