Learning outcomes

The School aims to train medical specialists in the professional sector of Medical Oncology. The specialist in Medical Oncology will have to develop and mature the technical, scientific and professional knowledge, specific competence and skills necessary for the diagnosis, treatment, follow-up and overall care of the cancer patient, in the various phases of the disease. The specialist in Medical Oncology will also have to develop and mature the human and ethical values connected to the profession of Medical Oncologist, professional interactions and aspects pertinent to the continuity of care and the local reality. Specific areas of expertise include clinical methodology, specific and supportive pharmacological therapy in oncology, doctor-patient communication, clinical trials and palliative medicine.
