Learning outcomes

The overall aim of the course is to present the fundamental concepts of the theory of organization, with a particular focus on the relationship between society and organization.
The first part of the course focuses on the knowledge of organizations and organisational behaviour, defining key concepts and coordination mechanisms.
The second part presents an in-depth look at the labour market and job entry into public and private healthcare companies (one of several forms in which organisations express themselves), also describing the recruitment strategies of health care companies and the transition paths to work of newly hired nurses.
The student, at the end of the course, will be able to understand and reflect in a systematic way on the nature and characteristics of the organizations, to independently assess the mechanisms of operation (structure, culture, power, environment) and will have specific notions to facilitate the transition from the university to labor market.
