In order to achieve the training objectives, the four modules, address some relevant issues:

- the composition and dynamics of the working group;
- the sociological reading of organizations (models, organizational processes and organizational variables), with particular reference to personal services, and the implications for organizational planning (of roles and of organizational units);
- the organizational development;
- the accreditation systems for the quality of health services;
- the innovative organizational models of health and assistance services;
- the interdependence between professional figures, on a clinical level and in organizational paths;
- participation in decision-making and budgeting processes;
- midwifery care;
- the organizational network models of perinatal care and antenatal care;
- standards for the assessment of birth points;
- the partnership models, caseload midwifery care and shared caseload;
- project management in the obstetric area.

Assessment methods and criteria

For the verification of knowledge and the assessment of the student's abilities, the four modules, in relation to the contents addressed and the didactic methods chosen, present different evaluation methods.

In particular, for three modules - Organizational and innovative models of care, Organizational models in the maternal and child health area and Psychology of work - the exam is in written form (multiple choice test, form with open and closed questions and project work); for one module - Sociology of organizations - the exam is in oral form. In all cases, the evaluation is expressed out of thirty and the final evaluation is derived from the weighted average of the evaluations obtained for each individual module.
