This course aims to describe the clinical-pathological, immunohistochemical and molecular features of tumors of the central nervous system.
At the end of this course, students will be able to fill a request for a histopathological exam of a CNS tumor, providing all necessary information for the pathologist and to understand information in histopathological report for prognosis and tdecision making.
Classification of Tumors of the central Nervous system, according to WHO Classification. Anatomical-clinical correlations.
Glial tumors. Ependymal tumors. Embryonal tumors. Meningeal tumors. Tumors of the sella region.
