Course organization
1) To learn the clinical, diagnostic and treatment aspects of the following diseases: type 2 diabetes mellitus, hypertension and dyslipidemia
2) Recognition of certain symptoms and signs of the above diseases (diabetes mellitus, hypertension, dyslipidemia)
3) Ability to assess the possible causes, severity and possible evolution of diabetes mellitus, hypertension and dyslipidemia

- Definition of global cardiovascular risk
- Overview of physiopathology of atherosclerosis
- Arterial hypertension: definition, classification, associated organ damage
- Metabolic syndrome: epidemiology, definition, importance as a cardiovascular risk factor
- Hypercholesterolemia and hypertriglyceridemia: definition and importance as a cardiovascular risk factor
- Type 2 diabetes mellitus: epidemiology, definition, importance as a cardiovascular risk factor
