Learning outcomes

The course aims at providing the fundamental concepts of Bioethics useful in the practice of midewifery
The goal is the formation of the ability of independent analysis in the evaluation of bioethical problems in the practice of midewifery and the capacity of taking adequate actions.


- Historical bases of bioethics
- The principles of bioethics (beneficiency, non maleficiency, autonomy, justice)
- Bioethics, Law and Medical Dentology
- The components of decision process in difficult cases.
- Fundamental rights and principles
- Informed consent
- Patient-Clinician relationship
- The balance of different interests
