Learning outcomes

Vascular Surgery Module
Aim of the course of vascular surgery is provide to the students the competencies to:
1. Recognize signs, symptoms, the principal functional alterations , and the principal differential diagnoses related to the
most frequent arterial an venous disease
2. Analyze and resolve clinical problems concerning the above mentioned diseases.
3. Evaluate cost/effective strategies related to the diagnosis of the most frequent arterial and venous disease


Vascular Surgery Module
Arterial Disease
1. Abdominal Aorta Aneurysm
2. Carotid artery disease
3. Acute and chronic arterial disease of the lower limbs
4. Surgical aspect of the diabetic foot
Venous Disease
1. DVT prophylaxis in Surgery
2. Post-thrombotic syndrome
3. Leg ulcers
4. Varicose veins

Assessment methods and criteria
