Course organization
Main aim of this course is to distinguish groups from other forms of social aggregations. Moreover, fundamental features of groups (roles, leadership, timing ...) and different types of group (team, self help, virtual groups) will be discuss.
Particul aim of this course consists in testing the role played by team work and working in team in the nursing contest.
Group's identity, membership and socialisation processing.
Types of group: team work, self help group, virtual group.
Dynamic processes and structural aspects of groups ( join a group, leave a group, roles, status and norms)
Discrimination, conflict and cooperation
Decisional processing in groups: leadership, comunications' network, problem solving and time planning
Groups and nursing: emotional rules and emotional labor. Partecipating leadership and its effect on work team. Conflicts in nursing groups: mobbing and burn out. Introduction to family dinamics.
