The course aims to illustrate role and indications of colordoppler ultrasound in vascular pathology in different districts. We will try to go deeper also in limitations of this diagnostic tool.
The course will be completed with practical session to show real procedures and images.
The course deals with colordoppler ultrasound and its role in the diagnostica sequence of patients with atherosclerosis (peripheral artery disease and carotid atherosclerosis). Technical features will be described and examination procedure in details.
Aorto iliac segments and visceral vessels evaluation will be described regarding wall pathologies (obstructive/inflammatory/dilating) .
Ultrasound charcters of Veins thrombotic facts and valves incompetence will be described regarding procedures, velocimetric profiles and Bmode images.
Practical demonstrations will be proposed as appropriate and if possible .
