Student will be able to identify the main theoretical and methodological constructs about psychiatric rehabilitation. Student will understand the main ways and the most appropriate contexts to apply the rehabilitation techniques that how to identify needs of the person with mental illness. Student will also be able to understand the importance of team work and recognize the peculiarities of the different psychiatric services in Italy.
Topics include:
- The concept of mental health and to how to promote health and quality of life - the concept of impairment, disability, handicap and chronicity
- The concept of diagnosis, prognosis and rehabilitation: historical, theoretical and applied aspects
- Rehabilitation models
- Psychiatric rehabilitation in Italy: organization and networking
- Tools and psychiatric technician
