The course will address the following topics: consultation of biological databases and research in databases by sequence similarity; local and global alignments; multiple sequence alignments; statistical significance of alignment; gene analysis predictions; outline of molecular mechanics through computer models; genetic variability in the population and the analysis of databases of genetic polymorphisms; genomics and genes recognition; proteomics and structure prediction.
