Overview

The Masters degree course in Sport and Exercise Science is part of the university’s post-graduate program. In order to guarantee a level of training that meets the occupational expectations and social needs, which require specific skills as well as in-depth professional experience, the course will provide traditional classroom lessons, hands-on workshop activities and practical internship experience. The Masters degree course aims to train experts with specific competencies applied to the design, implementation, coordination and evaluation of programs of physical wellness activities. Particular attention will be paid to various kinds of activities and, within the context of promoting physical and mental health, to the differences of age, gender, socio-cultural context and level of psycho-cultural maturity. At the end of the course the participants will have acquired a solid grounding in the fields of biomedicine and educational psychology, along with the fundamental principles and methods of exercise and sports. The course is also aimed at designing, conducting and evaluating programs for the promotion of physical activity as well as the maintenance and development of personal health and well-being.
