Overview
The Level I Master program in Special Education for Sensory Disabilities has as it objective a highly specialised preparation of professionals qualified and trained to intervene in an educational setting with subjects from infancy to adulthood that have a deficit, pathology and/or significant alteration to the auditory system and/or visual apparatus as well as communication pathologies. A Master with these characteristics will also provide instruments well suited to a professional refresher course. The objectives of the Master class are pursued in collaboration with various entities and institutions that are traditionally engaged in the work of sensory disabilities. In the educational or scholastic integration of students with sensory disabilities the Special Education expert for sensory impairment needs to operate particularly in the extracurricular field in connection with other scholastic and non-scholastic professionals, as well as in collaboration with healthcare services when programming and achieving educational aims and objectives. In particular the course involves accompanying the Master class student in the general processes of acquisition and development of pupils with sensory disabilities or affected by communication pathologies with various etiologies that can be traced to a single disorder or as part of a complex of multiple disorders.
