Curriculum

Dr. Anna Maria Azzini specializes in Infectious Diseases.
The main fields of interest are the epidemiology and treatment of healthcare-associated infections, the epidemiology and treatment of fungal infections and the epidemiology of infections/colonisations by multi-drug resistant (MDR) organisms in Long Term Care Facilities-patients.
She coordinated at regional level the European multi-center survey "Healthcare Associated infection in the Long Term-Care Facilities 3- 2017 (HALT3-2017), promoted by the European Center for Disease Control and now she is coordinating the "Point prevalence surveillance of health care-associated infections, colonisation by MDR organisms and consumption of antibiotics, in long-term care facilities (LTCFs) in the Veneto region. She also participated in the study " Candidemia / Intra-abdominal candidiasis (IAC) in European ICU's (EUCANDICU): incidence and case-control study of risk factors ", promoted by ESGCP (ESCMID Study Group for Critically Ill Patients) and was a  member of the " Candidaemia Triveneto Sudy Group". She participate in the project " Stewardship Antibiotic VErona (SAVE) ".
