Combined Bachelor + Masters in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics

Course partially running (all years except the first)

Overview

The degree course in Dentistry and dental prosthetics aims at providing a basic scientific background and theoretical-practical background necessary for those hoping to practice dentistry. It also sets out to develop the methodology and culture necessary for permanent practice, as well as the methodological rudiments of scientific research and the level of professional, decisional and operational autonomy which comes from a training course characterised by a holistic approach to the problems of oral health for both well and ill people. The course not only leads to the acquisition of the fundamental capacities to find and evaluate critically, from a clinical point of view and from a complete self-evaluation vision, the data related to the state of health and sickness of each individual's stomatognactic apparatus, but it also proposes to develop the capacity to communicate clearly and humanely with patients and their families and to organise teamwork, whilst being fully aware of problems also in terms of communication and management of human resources.
