Curriculum

Riccardo Panattoni is a full professor of moral philosophy at the Department of Human Sciences. His research and study interests focus on two main intersecting topics. The first topic deals with the relationship between Philosophy and Psychoanalysis. By analysing this relationship I have focused on subjectivation processes, considering the connection between memory and time, as well as between self-narration and imaginary world. The second topic, instead, concerns the field of visual studies, investigating the implications between photography, video-art and cinema. In particular, the two topics find their intersection point in the concept of “virtual”. He supervises Tiresia, a Research Centre for Philosophy and Psychoanalysis, Phi/Psy, an editorial series on the key words of Psychoanalysis, and Imm’, another series on the Culture of image. My reference authors come mainly from the French tradition (Gilles Deleuze, Jacques Lacan, Pierre Fedidà, Roland Barthes, Maurice Blanchot). Finally, He recently wrote an important study on the thought of Giorgio Agamben, published by Feltrinelli.
