Learning outcomes

Knowledge of primary rehabilitative approach (Bobath, ETC, constraint induced movement therapy).
In major disease of central nervous system (stroke, acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis):
- Assessment of structures and function (sensory and motor function) activity and participation (deambulazione, hand and upper limb function, daily activities), environmental and personal factors through clinical observation and validated assessment tools;
- Ability in definition of rehabilitative diagnosis and prognosis;
- Ability in formulation of rehabilitative goals;
- Assessment of primary orthosis and equipments for patient independence.

Syllabus

Introduction to rehabilitation in neurological disorders.
Definition of clinical aspects, assessment of limitation in structures and functions, definition of primary rehabilitative goals, definition of rehabilitative approach in most common neurological pathologies: stroke, acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis.
