Illustrate the fundamental concepts of aetiology and pathogenesis and the links between the clinical manifestations of diseases and the mechanisms underlying them. INTERNAL MEDICINE MODULE Training objectives: The course aims to introduce the physiopathological mechanisms responsible for the main alterations of homeostatic systems of the organism, the functional consequences detectable on various organs and systems, the compensatory mechanisms activated following these alterations. MODULE GENERAL PATHOLOGY Educational objectives: The course will develop some topics of General Pathology preparatory to understanding the basic mechanisms of diseases. General Pathology is at a critical point, at the crossroads between basic and clinical science. The course therefore aims to establish the essential links between clinical manifestations and fundamental mechanisms, facilitating the understanding of the conceptual basis of the disease.
