Learning outcomes

The course aims to encourage the acquisition of the ability to build and conduct innovative and transferable research projects in the patient's daily life, starting from clinical questions designed in compliance with the principles of bioethics and the logic of clinical reasoning, according to the sending of the project to the ethics committee.
BIOETICS Training objectives: - acquire the basic knowledge of the method and the fundamental themes of the bioethical discipline - understand the interconnections between ethics and professional deontology with particular regard to bioethical issues - be able to reflect autonomously on the ethically sensitive issues that may arise in practice clinic.
ADVANCED RESEARCH IN DATA BANKS Learning objectives: to know the principles of the EBM methodology; know how to use the tools necessary to acquire scientific evidence, in particular those for research and evaluation of evidence; reflect on the application of research results in clinical practice.
SCIENCE LOGIC AND PHILOSOPHY Educational objectives: - to acquire the basic knowledge of the fundamental gnoseological, methodological and epistemological problems of logic in relation to health sciences - to be able to apply the logical method to the clinical reasoning of rehabilitation practice.
METHODOLOGY OF TRANSLATIONAL RESEARCH Learning outcomes: Understand the meaning of translational research and acquire the necessary knowledge for the drafting of research projects in the rehabilitation field.
EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH IN REHABILITATION Learning objectives: To be able to carry out a literature search using the specialized search engines and not. Apply the main research methods in rehabilitation with reference to the different types of experimental design (single case study, RCT etc). Acquire the main methods of execution of a research project and formulation of a data collection form. Transfer data to a spreadsheet and use simple methods of statistical analysis (graphical production, elementary analysis).

Syllabus

METHODOLOGY OF TRANSLATIONAL RESEARCH
The course will deal, in particular, with issues concerning the meaning of translational research, the Evidence Based Practice and its different models, the differences between experimental and non-experimental research, the ethical codes, the process of elaboration of a research problem and its management.

BIOETHICS
The course will address, in particular, issues concerning the main bioethical issues related to research in rehabilitation medicine.

ADVANCED RESEARCH IN DATA BANKS
The course will deal, in particular, with topics concerning the conceptual bases of research, Evidence Based Medicine, the search for information on the web, the main databases in the medical-scientific field and the use of PUBMED.
