Roberto Burro is a researcher of general psycology at the Department of Human Sciences. Within the scientific sector "General Psychology" (M-PSI/01), the main research fields are (according to a phenomenological-experimental perspective): Psychophysics, Perception of space, Visuo-spatial problem-solving, Sensory and emotional analysis and construction of tools for measuring psychological variables. Specifically, the research skills concern:
1) Analysis and formalization of the laws of connection existing between the world of defined and measurable physical stimuli, the world of the main psychological sensations (sight, smell, taste, touch, hearing) and emotions.
2) Understanding of the relationships that people have with the environment in the surrounding space (esteroceptive processes) and with their body dimensions (enteroceptive processes).
3) Structuring of tests / questionnaires for the quantification of psychological variables in order to improve the diagnostic analysis of the patient.
