ORTHOPEDIC REHABILITATING AREA
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
1. Perform and interpret the results of the evaluation of:
- pain
 articular range
 length, trophism, strength and muscular strength
- sensitivity
 Disorphisms and deviations on the different plans
2. Evaluate functional alterations in walking, holding and other gestures
3. Interpret the effortsmade by the patient
4. To propose activities aimed at:
- joint recovery
- recovery of muscle strength
 containment of pain
- recovery of the organization of gestures
 interaction of different functional systems
5. Propose activities for recovering the diseased function, taking into account any up-to-date guidelines

NEUROLOGICAL AREA
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
1. Evaluate the state of consciousness and cognitive functions of the patient by identifying any alterations
2. Evaluate the sensitivity, muscle tone, reflexes, muscle recruitment of the patient by detecting any alterations in motor and sensitivity
3. Identify and classify movement abnormalities based on functional clinical examination
4. Evaluate patient autonomy in postural passages
5. Identify the alterations of the Patient's visceral functions and comorbid condition as possible variables to be considered in the physiotherapy proposal (II HALF) 6. Prevent complications (joint stiffness, skin lesions, muscle tone alteration)
7. To propose activities aimed at the recovery of: (II SEMESTER)  cognitive functions - sensitivity - muscle recruitment - trunk functionality - deambulation - manipulation
8. Propose activities to recover the diseased function taking into account any up-to-date guidelines (SECOND SEMESTER)

Program

After the conclusion of the Lectures, Tutorial Sessions, Exercises / Simulations and Professional Laboratory of the 1st semester the students will experiencetwo practical experiences of 8 weeks overall in hospitals and / or outpatient facilities with adult patients with orthopedic pathologies.
After the Lectures, Tutorial Sessions, Exercises / Simulations and Professional Laboratory of the 2nd semester the students will do two practical experiences of 8 weeks overall in hospitality facilities, with adult patients with neurological pathologies.

Examination Methods

The achievement of the skills required to attend to the following year is evaluated by a Commission composed of a Coordinator and at least two teachers (MED / 48) and is divided into a written test and a practical test.
The written test will assess the student's ability to identify structural and functional impairments, limitations of activities and participation restrictions in relation to environmental and personal factors (ICF) in a patient (clinical case study). It will also evaluate the student's ability to conduct clinical reasoning to plana functional diagnosis, to identify physiotherapy problems, to define goals, and to identify some therapeutic pathways.
In the practical test, with a simulated patient with orthopedic and neurological pathology, the student will have to demonstrate technical and gestural skills and relational and communicative skills in relation to the goals of the year.
